"Fuelsaver"
Fuelsaver was first launched 1 year ago following 4
years of development from a customer request to explore the possibility of reducing C02 by 20%. CO2 and other emissions can be reduced, the by product of this reduction is a reduction in fuel usage. Fuelsaver works on a number of fronts to reduce fuel usage and emissions. Firstly vehicles are manufactured with generic ECU profiles; this is more cost effective for manufacturers to do similarly to sharing platforms. UK vehicles do not need such wide parameters for weather extremes altitudes and fuel qualities etc. This is the main component of the system giving the majority of the gain to the average driver. You will already be familiar with manufacturers practices of each years model been superior to the previous years model, The vehicle may have some cosmetic changes but the engine and drive train
are the same, research and development into diesel powered vehicles is now virtually non-existent making new ECU profiles little more than a marketing ploy to maintain market position.
The other components of Fuelsaver reduce the driver’s ability to drive a vehicle in a harsh manner. Revs are tailed of to coincide with peak torque after which tractive motion ceases, by revving an engine beyond this point it will not accelerate any quicker, all it will do is use more fuel emit more emissions, make more noise and decrease the life of the engine. Further to this a top end speed limitation is installed to prevent the vehicle from excessive speed beyond the legal standards within the UK.Typically we expect to provide and “Efficiency Saving” in the region of 15%.
Following the launch Fuelsaver was featured on the BBC http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/7560916.stm this company now runs close to 100 vehicles using this technology, giving around 100 miles per tank full of fuel. Since then Fuelsaver has enjoyed phenomenal growth across all sectors of industry. To date trials have a 100% success rate across all industries from the trial programme.
Plant i customers for years have seen great savings in fuel simply by installing vehicle telemetry to allow them to better manage their fleet. Fuelsaver takes this to the next stage once you have gained all the benefits from better vehicle utilisation.

It is not in question that we are responsible for the fuel that we burn, and it affects not only the environment, but also has an impact on the global economy. In today’s climate, there is pressure for companies that deal in haulage, or are dependant on having vehicles on the road to reduce their carbon footprint. So what incentive does a business have to implement this technology?
Is it possible that they could not only reduce the carbon footprint that each and every one of them leaves behind, whilst at the same time reducing their fuel bills, as soon as the ignition is turned?
The fact is that fitting Fuelsaver to vehicles will reduce fuel use and bills by around 14.5-18% - saving money whilst reducing CO2 emissions. Whilst this may sound too good to be true, the technology has already been put into practice.
